Kościół św. Katarzyny

St Catherine’s Church in Gdańsk is the oldest parish church in the Old Town. It was built between 1227 and 1239 and expanded after 1379. Its 76-metre tower is topped with a Baroque spire dating from 1634. The church contains, among other works, paintings by Anton Möller and Izaak van den Block, as well as the 1659 tombstone of astronomer Jan Heweliusz.

The church hosts classical music concerts, including performances devoted to Chopin, as well as opera events and galas featuring Italian and Viennese repertoire. The programme also includes carol concerts and musical productions.
