Zone 0

Strefa 0 is a drama written and directed by Magdalena Drab, presented on the Attic Stage of the Wrocław Contemporary Theatre named after Maria and Edmund Wierciński in Wrocław. The performance explores forced emigration and the experiences of refugees. Its starting point was Tomasz Kaczor’s photograph “Awakening”, associated with Dorota Borodaj’s report on resignation syndrome in refugee children. The cast includes Mariusz Bąkowski, Maciej Kowalczyk, Ewa Niemotko, Miłosz Pietruski, Beata Rakowska, Tadeusz Ratuszniak and Lina Wosik. The characters grapple with the loss of their former identities, and their experiences are conveyed through recurring déjà vu and form fields. Drab has created a story that combines the personal dimensions of migration with the subject of refugees. This is a production for people interested in contemporary drama and theatre addressing social issues. Tickets are available through KupBilecik.
