Strefa 0

The play Strefa 0 is a drama written and directed by Magdalena Drab, presented on the Attic Stage of the Wrocław Contemporary Theatre named after Maria and Edmund Wierciński in Wrocław. The cast includes Mariusz Bąkowski, Maciej Kowalczyk, Ewa Niemotko, Miłosz Pietruski, Beata Rakowska, Tadeusz Ratuszniak and Lina Wosik. The starting point for the play was Tomasz Kaczor’s photograph “Awakening”, associated with Dorota Borodaj’s report on resignation syndrome among refugee children. Drab also draws on the experiences of people forced to emigrate and lose their former identity. The characters are trapped in a recurring déjà vu and the boxes of official forms, while the drama connects the personal dimension of forced migration with the subject of refugees. This is a production for people interested in contemporary theatre and dramas that address social issues. Tickets are available through KupBilecik.
