Choir of Monks by Candlelight

The Choir of Monks by Candlelight concert at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk combines inspiration from medieval sacred chant with contemporary choral arrangements. The program includes classical and meditative music, pop-rock songs, and film compositions, including Dies Iræ, Ave Maria, Hallelujah, and Time from the film Inception. Polish songs will also appear in new arrangements. The Choir of Monks by Candlelight is an intimate, theatrical project in which the singing is accompanied by monk robes, candles, and austere stage design. Here, an aesthetic of the past meets a contemporary repertoire, while light and silence help shape the concert experience. The event draws on the tradition of sacred music but is not religious in nature. It is an offering for lovers of choral singing, film music, and atmospheric arrangements.
