Piwnica pod Baranami is a literary cabaret in Kraków, founded in 1956 in the cellars of the Pod Baranami Palace by Piotr Skrzynecki and students from Kraków universities. It officially opened on 26 May 1956. Songs, short stage works and outdoor performances were created here. For a time, jazz groups led by Krzysztof Komeda and Andrzej Kurylewicz also performed here.
Piwnica pod Baranami hosts concerts, including jazz, blues, rock and pop, as well as performances by artists associated with the cabaret. The programme also includes concerts of interwar songs.
