About the company
The Archdiocese Museum in Warsaw presents collections of sacred art, old masters and contemporary Polish art. The institution was founded in 1938, and its original collections were destroyed during the Warsaw Uprising. The museum resumed its activities in 1978 on the initiative of Primate Stefan Wyszyński. It began operating at its current location in January 2016. The collection comprises more than 20,000 objects, including paintings, prints, sculptures, textiles, coins, medals and goldsmiths’ works.
The museum hosts concerts, including performances of Chopin’s music. It also presents exhibitions related to its collections of sacred, old masters and contemporary art.
