The adaptation was prepared by Teresa Kurpias-Grabowska, and the production was directed by Marek Grabiniok. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter merchant whose encounters with extraordinary visitors prompt him to change his attitude towards life and other people. Charles Dickens was an English novelist of the Victorian era. In his works, he wrote about social inequality and the difficult circumstances faced by the poor, among other subjects. “Opowieść wigilijna” is one of his best-known stories, combining a Christmas tale with reflections on mercy, compassion and charity. The production recalls values that can matter throughout the year. This is an option for families and for people interested in classic literature in a musical form.
