Korn was formed in Bakersfield, California, after the group L.A.P.D. disbanded; musicians associated with its early days included guitarists James Shaffer and Reginald Arvizu, as well as drummer David Silveria. The band is known for the songs “Freak on a Leash” and “Here to Stay”. Both earned Grammy Awards for the band-the first in 2000 and the second in 2003.
