I like Chopin - intimate concert by candlelight

The intimate classical music concert “I like Chopin” by candlelight will take place at I like Chopin in Gdańsk. The programme presents the works of Fryderyk Chopin in the context of his life and successive stages of his career, with stories about the inspirations and circumstances behind the compositions announced before the performances. The repertoire will include mazurkas, études, Polonaise in A major, Ballade in F major, Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, preludes and Sonata No. 2, as well as compositions by other composers, including Beethoven, Schumann and Debussy. Fryderyk Chopin was a Polish composer and pianist whose works are among the most important in the piano repertoire. His music draws on Polish folk traditions, particularly evident in his mazurkas and polonaises. The works composed during his Paris period are distinguished by a more dramatic expression. The concert is intended for people interested in classical and piano music, as well as the stories behind its creation. Tickets are available on the KupBilecik website.
