Chopin & Friends - piano concerts by candlelight

The concert “Chopin & Friends - piano concerts by candlelight” at the Concert Hall in the basement of St. Joseph’s Basilica in Poznań is dedicated to the piano music of Fryderyk Chopin and other European composers. The programme features selected works by Chopin as well as compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann and Rachmaninoff, performed by candlelight.

Fryderyk Chopin was a Polish composer and pianist of the Romantic era, whose work holds an important place in the piano repertoire. He wrote, among other forms, mazurkas, polonaises, nocturnes and études, combining forms associated with Polish music with Romantic expression. His works are among the best-known pieces for piano. Pairing them with compositions by other artists offers a chance to discover the diversity of piano music.

The concert may appeal to lovers of classical music and piano performances. Tickets are available through the KupBilecik service.
