About the event
The Altin Gün concert at Klub Kwadrat in Kraków will combine psychedelic rock with influences from Anatolian folk music. The band’s sound draws on the tradition of Anatolian rock, blending funky rhythms, guitar and analogue organ.
Altin Gün is a Dutch-Turkish band from Amsterdam, founded in 2016 by bassist Jasper Verhulst. He was looking for Turkish instrumentalists to form a group that would draw on folk songs from Turkey and present them in a psychedelic rock style. Vocalist Erdinç Ecevit Yıldız is of Turkish descent, while the other band members are Dutch.
